बूढ़ा हुआ , दाँत गिर रहे हैं;
तो क्या शेर घास खायेगा ?
चल उठ के चल !
इस पेड़ तले छाँव नहीं प्रेतों का डेरा है।
तू रुकेगा ; फिर तुझे डरायेगा।
चल उठ के चल !
रो चुके हो की और बाकि है ?
किसने सुना ? क्या कोई आएगा।
चल उठ के चल !
सोने का हिरण होता है ? सब माया है।
पास जाते ही रावण सामने पायेगा।
चल उठ के चल !
थकने मत बहाना कर। कुछ देर सुस्ता ले।
इंतज़ार मत कर। कोई साथ नहीं आएगा।
